WHAT IS GODLY GOTHIC?

We are a Gothic Christian clothing line. A Christian alternative for the alternative Christian. There really is none other like it. Many Christian products are presented through a sunny, cheery perspective. But it rains, too. Day turns to night, when sometimes weeping may endure. We embrace the good AND the bad. After all, it rains on the just and the unjust. In this world we will have tribulation. No longer should we as Christians portray a narrow narrative of what this walk looks like. Sometimes, it's beautiful, enriching and supernaturally amazing. Other times, the crosses we bear are extremely heavy. We bleed, we suffer... we die daily.

All for the glory of God.

Hi! My name is Angele, and I am the owner and creator of Godly Gothic Designs. 

I was always an eccentric girl growing up. I didn't fit in - like, at all. I was hardly the model black person because I liked rock music and "sounded white." I watched anime (back when it wasn't cool) and didn't really know how to dance. And maybe still don't.

I was hardly the model Christian because I preferred to wear wild hair colors and gravitated to edgier expressions of self. My alternative aesthetic wasn't always well received by the church, so I hid. After all, I had to "avoid the very appearance of evil." 

It would take years before I felt comfortable enough to be myself around the super saved and sanctified - without compromising my faith.

I created my own space - a place where misfits like me have truly embodied the idea of being "set apart." We're not afraid to dwell in dark spaces. To be black lights for the kingdom.

I AM godly gothic.

THE WORD MADE FLESH

The Ligonier Statement on Christology:

We confess the mystery and wonder of God made flesh and rejoice in our great salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

With the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Son created all things, sustains all things, and makes all things new. Truly God, He became truly man, two natures in one person.

He was born of the Virgin Mary and lived among us. Crucified, dead, and buried, He rose on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will come again in glory and judgment.

For us, He kept the Law, atoned for sin, and satisfied God’s wrath. He took our filthy rags and gave us His righteous robe.

He is our Prophet, Priest, and King, building His church, interceding for us, and reigning over all things.

Jesus Christ is Lord; we praise His holy Name forever.
